Carlo Ancelotti has been speaking to the media about Eden Hazard, and the Real Madrid boss shared some bad news for Premier League duo Arsenal and Newcastle.

What’s the story?

Well, it was said that Arsenal and Newcastle wanted to bring the £130m man back to the Premier League, after his struggles at the Santiago Bernabeu.

7 Transfers That DESTROYED Football Clubs

Interestingly, some sources claimed that Arsenal actually held constructive talks over a loan deal for the two-time Premier League winner.

Since his club-record move from Chelsea in 2019, Hazard has scored just six goals in 65 games for Real Madrid, while also struggling with injuries.

Despite that poor form, Mikel Arteta and Eddie Howe remain interested in signing him this summer, although Ancelotti has now delivered bad news.

As quoted by Fabrizio Romano, the Italian said: “Eden Hazard will stay here at Real Madrid next season. Hazard’s plan is very clear, he wants to show his quality next season”.

Chelsea are also said to be interested in re-signing Hazard.

So far this season, the 31-year-old has scored one goal in 22 appearances.

Regardless of that barren spell, it seems Hazard is determined to show his ability next season, as Ancelotti has now confirmed.

Arsenal & Newcastle must avoid Eden Hazard

In our view, the Gunners and the Magpies have no need for Hazard.

The Belgium international is no longer the player he was at Stamford Bridge, and he is believed to earn £381,000-a-week at Real Madrid.

For a player with six goals in 65 games for Real Madrid, Arteta and Howe should go nowhere near those wages, to say the least.

Hazard has also struggled severely with injuries, so there are no guarantees that he’ll even be available to Arsenal or Newcastle on a regular basis.

At 31 years of age, the Belgian is also approaching a decline.

To put it simply, there are far too many risks involved for the Premier League duo, and they should ignore a move for Hazard this summer.
