David Sibley’s second round score was the only reason for his win today.

David finished third in the first round. He gave 10 correct answers and four incorrect answers to the $2,200 bank. Sam Wang gave nine correct answers and two incorrect answers, earning $2,600.

The winner of the first round was Emily Hackberth, who answered 14 questions correctly, one of which was a True Daily Double. With zero wrong answers, he earned $7,600 points.

In the second round, the categories were Cliff Notes, A Letter Than a Word, The Wright Brothers, The Actors Studio, Naturalists, and And the State Goes Too.

Sam and Emily put in their best effort in the Double Japardy round but could not cross David’s score. On the other hand, he banked $7,800 (Sam) and $8,800 (Emily). David got two daily doubles and 11 correct answers, and scored $14,600.

The final Jeopardy round was tough as none of the players could give the correct answer. However, Sam and Emily had lower scores than David’s, so they could not beat him in the final round. David played tactfully as he bet a small amount to retain the upper hand.
