Tim Sherwood has stated that he will be supporting Liverpool in the Champions League final against Real Madrid and even Manchester City fans want them to win.

The former title winner added that, apart from Manchester United fans, ‘everyone so wants them to’ beat Real Madrid in Paris.

It’s only days away now, but two of Europe’s biggest giants are set to battle it out on the biggest domestic stage of them all.

Both teams have world-class managers in the dugout and star-studded players out on the pitch, so it will be some showdown.

But, speaking to Premier League Productions, Sherwood was sure of who he will be backing in France’s capital.

“He’s (Klopp) a real genuine guy and he’s fantastic with the media,” said Sherwood.

“If his team wins the Champions League. Everyone so wants them to win. Anyone in the Premier League. Man United fans take them out of it.

“I genuinely believe even Manchester City fans. The way that man acts and the way the players conduct themselves. They want Liverpool to win the Champions League and beat Real Madrid.

“We want it for the Premier League’s sake because we want to be so dominant. We know we are, but it just hammers it home if you pick up that trophy.

“I am going to the game and I will be supporting Liverpool 100%. I love the man and his group of players. Never down tools. Always dig in and they can give everything.”

Pep Guardiola is probably pulling the very few remaining hairs he is on his head.

The Manchester City boss made the previous claim that ‘everyone supports Liverpool’, well Sherwood’s comments will probably echo what he has been trying to say.

But whilst Sherwood feels Man City fans will be backing the Reds, there is no way that will happen.

Manchester United and Everton fans are also in that same boat and the same would apply if the boot was on the other foot.
