His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Sultan Al Abdullah Al-Faisal, President of the Saudi Federation, confirmed that the third edition of the Saudi Dakar Rally 2022 witnessed a large participation in the number of participants, reaching 1,000 participants from 70 international countries, and this participation is the largest in the history of the rally and represented more than three times Participants in the last two editions of the Saudi Dakar Rally.

His Highness said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency that the percentage of accidents in the Saudi Dakar Rally 2022 was few, and no deaths or serious injuries were recorded among the participants, especially in the motorcycle category, who are more at risk of accidents and injuries.

His Highness said: “What distinguishes the Saudi Dakar Rally 2022 AD is the strong presence of Arab drivers, especially the people of the Arab Gulf, where the Qatari driver Nasser Al-Attiyah won first place, while the Saudi driver Yazeed Al-Rajhi won third place in the cars category, and this represents pride and achievement for all of us in Arab Gulf States”.

His Highness, President of the Saudi Federation of Cars and Motorcycles and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Motor Sports Company, confirmed that today witnessed fierce and strong competition between the contestants, and throughout the period of competitions, everyone enjoyed the stunning and diverse views of the Kingdom’s terrain and the great development and prosperity, and that is one of the fruits of the great support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Highness the Crown Prince – may God preserve them – and the follow-up and support of His Highness the Minister of Sports and the Saudi Motor Company, which has become run by Saudi hands, organizes all events and activities.
