Liverpool won their second title this season, when they captured the FA Cup after a marathon final against Chelsea, on Saturday.

After the original and extra time ended in a goalless draw, the two teams headed to the penalty shootout, which decided the match in favor of the “Reds”.

Liverpool outperformed in the penalty shootout 6-5, in the match that saw the team’s attacking star Mohamed Salah out injured in the first half.

The team maintained its hopes of winning an unprecedented quartet of titles this season, as it still has hopes of winning the local league, as well as qualifying for the Champions League final.

Liverpool won the League Cup at the expense of Chelsea, and also on penalties, last February.
