A MOTHER has told how she and her daughter live in fear after thousands of BEES invaded their home.

Kayley Harding, 30, said her city-owned apartment in West Bletchley, Bucks., has been “totally occupied” by three colonies of bees.

Shocking footage shows thousands of insects in a dark mass around Kayley’s window, while hundreds lie scattered across the bathroom floor.

The mother said they have been showing up at her four-storey apartment block, where she lives with her nine-year-old daughter Lacey, every summer for the past three years.

But despite asking the authorities for help, he says little is being done to resolve the matter.

Kayley told Buckinghamshire Live: “We have over 30,000 bees.

“They all seem to congregate downstairs at night, but in the morning they disperse and are all over the building.

“When they’re swarming, it honestly looks like a tornado. It is awful.

“Sometimes they swarm in the back of the building, so we can’t use the patio.”

She added: “You can stand on them at any time because they’re all in the stairwell.

“If my daughter gets itchy, how do I know she’s not going to have an allergic reaction?”

Kayley said that one of her neighbors on the Milton Keynes estate is allergic to bees and has had to lock herself away.

And he doesn’t want to “get to the point where someone’s life is at risk.”

She explained: “My neighbor with an EpiPen is being transferred to a hotel tonight.

“But what is he going to do one night? These bees have taken over.

“The council just won’t listen. I don’t think they’re taking it seriously.

“There are other kids on the block. It’s just ridiculous.”

A Milton Keynes Council spokesman said: “We are carrying out a clean-up operation to remove the bees and have provided hotel accommodation for a resident.

“The council is looking for long-term solutions with our contractor.”
