A PLUS SIZE woman responded to trolls who said her ruched skirt was “inappropriate” to wear to work.
Fashion blogger Gabbi regularly shares videos of herself getting ready for work on her TikTok page, recently posting a clip of herself wearing an orange skirt with a cream top.
The skirt in question was orange, midi-length, with ruffles at the front and back and a small slit at the front, prompting one person to comment, “The skirt is not appropriate for work.”
In response to the criticism, Gabbi shared another video while writing, “So is it my belly or my butt that makes this skirt inappropriate?
“Because I do not get it”.
She added in her video caption, “Wearing skin-tight clothing doesn’t make me any less professional.”
However, not everyone was convinced by Gabbi’s defense of her flashy ensemble.
“You look fantastic but it seems a bit inappropriate,” one person commented.
“It’s perfect for a date night though!”
“I guess it just depends on where you work,” added another.
“Maybe not the best for an office.”
As a third wrote: “Honestly, it’s pretty cute, but I have to agree: too skinny/sexy for a work look.
“Cute for brunch or a date.”
And someone else commented, “It’s transparent. It’s tight. It’s not professional at all.
“Having said that, it’s cute. It just doesn’t work at all.”
While another agreed, writing: “You wouldn’t get it if you had to ask.
“Of course it’s not appropriate for the job.
“Everything about him is wrong for the job.”
However, someone else argued, “it’s only inappropriate if your work forbids serious style.”
To which Gabbi replied, “Okay and they don’t!”
