The almighty (or unpredictable) Thunderbolt may sound a little different as he materializes next DC’s Stargirl.
TVLine has learned that for season 3 of the CW superhero team-up series, Robot Chicken co-creator and prolific voice actor Seth Green will help bring the pink, wish-represented genius to life.
Green then succeeds Jim Gaffigan, who voiced Thunderbolt in a couple of Season 2 episodes in which Mike (played by Trae Romano) unknowingly conjured up, met and then worked to lead the powerful imp exactly.
In StargirlIn the finale of season 2, Mike and his friend Jakeem (Alkoya Brunson) brought Thunderbolt to the epic clash downtown with Eclipso, where the ghost finally turned the best Big Bad into “toast” – as in a piece charred bread. (He’s pretty literal in that way!)
In the wake of that team-up, Mike suggested to Jakeem that while Stargirl (aka step-sister Courtney), Wildcat et al continue as the new JSA, she and Thunderbolt have to make their own heroic “thing”.
Green’s myriad TV voice acting credits include (but are far, far from limited to) Family mande Guardians of the Galaxy TV series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles en Hulk and the agents of SMASH.
DC’s Stargirl is set to premiere its third season in the fall, airing on Wednesday at 8 / 7c (where it will lead in Kung Fu Season 3).
