Al-Ahly club management, headed by Majid Al-Nafiei, is struggling on more than one front, to avoid the relegation of its team to the first division, whether by preparing its first football team in the club to overcome the predicament it faces in the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional League, or to avoid the penalties of the Disciplinary Committee that may also lead to the relegation of the team.

Al-Ahly’s administration is currently working on implementing the decision of the Disciplinary Committee issued last Wednesday, to pay the dues of Al-Faisaly Club, amounting to two million riyals, in addition to a delay fine of 500,000 riyals, and litigation fees before the Dispute Resolution Chamber of 100,000 riyals.

It is expected that the Al-Ahly administration will pay the full amount on Sunday, before the end of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional League, which ends next Monday with the matches of the 30th and final round.

Al-Faisaly’s dues, amounting to two million riyals, represent the transfer dues of left-back, Yazid Al-Bakr, to Al-Ahly in 2019.

Immediately after the decision of the Disciplinary Committee was issued last Wednesday, the Al-Ahly administration sought to provide the required amount, to completely close the case before the Disciplinary Committee.

The Football Association’s Disciplinary and Ethics Committee had given Al-Ahly, as of last Wednesday, 30 days, a deadline to implement the decision of the Dispute Resolution Chamber, before applying progressive penalties automatically without the need to issue new decisions in this regard.

In its decision, the Disciplinary Committee said that in the event of refraining from implementing the Chamber’s decision in full during the specified deadline, 3 points will be deducted from the balance of the first team in the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional Cup League for the 2021-2022 sports season, and in the event of continuing to refrain from implementation, Al-Ahly will be awarded A period of 15 days and in the event of non-compliance, he will be prevented from registering at the nearest registration period. Another from the Discipline and Ethics Committee.
