A BOMB threat was reported at Harrisburg International Airport, as confirmed by police.

The threat prompted an evacuation, according to Dauphin County Deputy Director Scott Miller.

As a precaution, two aircraft are also held on the tarmac.

Authorities are searching the entire facility, but have yet to find anything suspicious.

“There was a threat called to HIA. The police evacuated the terminal as a precautionary measure,” said the the airport tweeted.

“Arriving planes are being held on the ramp. Law enforcement is searching the building. Normal operations will resume once the clearance is given by law enforcement.”

Passengers on social media share their confusion and frustration with the threat, some complaining that they were “stuck” at the airport as police continue their search.
